Our Philosophy

We believe in a
Root Cause Approach

At NeuroRoot, we look beyond the diagnosis - to the whole child. Biomedical care means thoughtfully evaluating the medical, metabolic, gastrointestinal, and nutritional factors that can affect a child's health and development — the kind of thorough workup every family deserves access to.

The Founder Story

Why I Built NeuroRoot

Neuro Root grew out of personal experience. Autism has shaped my family's life, and like many parents, we turned to conventional medicine for answers. We're grateful for the care we received — but we also found ourselves wishing someone would look more comprehensively at the medical factors that can accompany autism, rather than stopping at the diagnosis itself.

So I set out to learn. I spent countless hours in the research and connected with thousands of families exploring a root-cause approach — parents who simply wanted clinicians willing to investigate the underlying medical and metabolic contributors to their child's health.

What I heard again and again was that this kind of comprehensive evaluation is hard to reach. Families face long waitlists, high out-of-pocket costs, and a shortage of qualified practitioners outside a handful of major cities. Too many parents feel overwhelmed and out of options.

That's the gap NeuroRoot was built to close. Every family deserves access to doctors willing to thoroughly evaluate the medical factors that may be contributing to their child's health — no matter where they live or what they can afford. That belief is why Neuro Root exists.

"Every family deserves a clinician willing to look deeper — and to actually investigate what might be affecting their child's health."

The Difference That Matters

What We Mean by Biomedical Care

Biomedical isn't a buzzword. It's a fundamentally different way of asking the question — shifting from "how do we manage this?" to "what is actually causing this?"

Conventional Approach
  • Focus on managing behavior & building coping skills
  • Standard bloodwork that typically comes back "normal"
  • Condition treated as primarily genetic and permanent
  • Waiting lists of 6–18 months for specialists
  • In-person only — limited by geography
  • Symptoms are the endpoint of investigation

Biomedical Approach
  • Investigate the biological factors driving symptoms
  • Comprehensive lab panels that reveal what's happening
  • Evidence shows early intervention can change outcomes
  • Telehealth access available anywhere (coming soon)
  • Home lab kit collection no clinic visit required
  • Symptoms are the starting point, not the end

Complete Support

Complimentary Care

Biomedical care isn't a replacement for conventional care — it works alongside it. Behavioral and developmental therapies have strong support, and we encourage families to continue what's helping. What a biomedical evaluation adds is a look at the medical and metabolic layer that's easy to overlook.

Comprehensive medical evaluation is a reasonable part of caring for any child, and pediatric guidance recognizes that children with autism deserve that same thoroughness. Yet it's often hard to access — long waitlists, limited availability outside major cities. Neuro Root was built to close that gap.

Access for Every Family

Why telehealth makes this possible.

Our practitioners use a comprehensive panel of specialized tests that goes beyond routine bloodwork, giving families a fuller picture of the medical and metabolic factors that can affect a child's health.
